QED is very pleased to announce the introduction of a completely new high performance speaker cable, 'XT Evolution'.
QED is a brand of Armour Home. Their category manager responsible for QED, Phil Davis stated: "XT Evolution is a completely new speaker cable that we can confidently claim 'raises the bar' by delivering truly unprecedented sonic performance at its price."
Mr Davis continued: "The new cable successfully combines technology from QED's high end 'Genesis' and 'X-Tube™' cables. The result is a cable that boasts significantly lower impedance than a traditional speaker cable with pure copper cores of the same cross-sectional area. In addition, the individual parallel conductor geometry, combined with the hollow central spacer, means the cable has a very low inductance and therefore minimal effect on an amplifier's damping factor."
Smiling, he concluded: "In short, it means XT Evolution exhibits the complete 'colouration-free neutrality', normally only found with much more expensive cable, and simply allows amplifiers and loudspeakers to perform at their very best."
XT Evolution is precision engineered in a 'figure 8' configuration. Each positive and negative conductor consists of five individually insulated, 99.999% Pure, Silver Plated Oxygen Free Copper sets, wound round a hollow central tube and held firmly in place by a 100% Mylar wrap and a flexible, clear, 5mm diameter, polyethylene outer jacket.
QED 'XT Evolution' speaker cable has a Suggested Retail Price of £6.50 per metre (including vat). To ensure optimum performance we recommend the cable is terminated using QED 'Airloc' speaker plugs.
